What if we just need commercial and industrial lighting equipment?  Is a photometric design required to do business with your company?

No. We will sell you any piece of equipment you specific if it is American made and within our vendor network. The advantage to buying a photometric design from us is that it gives you greater flexibility in the bid process. We can model your client’s system for them and allow them to see which equipment options work best in various places. The most cost efficient models can be identified through this process, resulting in a package that represents lasting durability and cost effective operability for your client.

We deduct the cost of the design, by the way, when you then move forward with an equipment purchase through RLLD Design.

Are you pushing LED for all commercial and industrial lighting systems?

We sell LED, but we are not pushing it on clients because there are still a number of applications that call for other types of fixtures. 

LED is also often beyond the procurement budgets of many smaller companies, so if your client does not have the money, it’s that simple—they don’t have the money. 

Metal halide is still the leader in security lighting, with some fluorescent and LED flood lights offering alternatives when affordable from the standpoint of purchase. 

Most parking lot lighting is still being done with metal halide. MH is particularly effective when lighting large buildings that are several stories tall, while fluorescent gooseneck lights and LED gooseneck lights have proven very effective in lighting building facades and company signs.
